With a long and distinguished career at Pubali Bank, Mr. Ali previously served as Additional Managing Director, playing a vital role in the bank’s modernization and strategic transformation. He was instrumental in establishing the largest online banking network in the country and introduced KPI-based human resource assessments—paving the way for enhanced performance management and the transformation of human resources into human capital.
He serves as an Ex-Officio Director of Pubali Bank Securities Limited and is also a Nominee Director on the Board of Uttara Finance and Investment Limited on behalf of the Bank.
Mr. Ali holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He also earned a Master’s in Development Studies (majoring in Economics) from the University of Dhaka, receiving the Dean’s Award for academic excellence. Additionally, he completed an MBA in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
He has participated in numerous professional training programs, seminars, and courses on banking, technology, and leadership, both domestically and internationally. A passionate reader and avid traveler, Mr. Ali combines technical expertise with strategic vision to lead Pubali Bank toward continued growth.
